plans for new horse riding centre for ebony horse club

Plans for a new Riding Centre in Brixton

Ebony has planning permission to build a riding centre in Wyck Gardens on the Loughborough Estate in Brixton. The plans for the riding centre include stabling for 11 horses, a stable yard, a turn out paddock, a floodlit arena, storage for bedding, feed and equipment, a tack room, classroom and offices.

By having our own riding centre we will provide 160 rides per week instead of 45 per fortnight.

Fundraising update

The riding centre will cost £1.5 million to build. So far Ebony has raised £400,000 in committed funding and we have £750,000 pending in applications. This means we have £400,000 to find to meet the remaining target. We must raise this before the end of 2010 to open by autumn 2011.

We are currently seeking support from Trusts and Foundations as well as individuals who recognise this project's potential in giving long-term benefits to children and our local community.
