Ebony team prepare to play the sport of kings at Ham Polo Club

A team of young people from Ebony Horse Club have been honing their polo skills and will soon put them to the test on the hallowed grounds of Ham Polo Club near Richmond.  They will face off against a team of our own staff and volunteers on Saturday 23rd September 2017 in a special day of polo that will raise funds for Ebony.

Cheering them on will be our very own Pedro the Shetland pony who is coming out of retirement to lead the teams out onto the field.  ITV News reader and Ebony Horse Club Patron Ronke Phillips will be in attendance to cheer on Ebony’s young players.

After a brief pause to tread in the divots, two teams of polo pros will take to the field in what promises to be an exhilarating exhibition match as the University of London face local team Vendetta.

Please join us to show your support for Ebony, and enjoy a day of polo with either a buffet lunch in the Clubhouse or your own picnic.  There will also be a raffle and auction with great prizes, and for Pedro, a rather embarrassing “Guess the weight” competition.  Let’s hope he hasn’t been enjoying the grass too much at his new retirement home…  Adult ticket holders are also invited to continue the celebrations at a party at London club Maddox that evening.
